Sexual Abuse, Exploitation, and Harassment Prevention Policy

Future Dance Competition is fully committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, staff, volunteers, partners, dancers, and guests. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of sexual abuse, exploitation, or harassment.

 

1. Objectives

  • Prevent all forms of violence, abuse, sexual exploitation, or harassment.

  • Provide clear mechanisms for reporting and addressing complaints.

  • Create an atmosphere of trust and safety for all members of the Future community.

 

2. Scope

This policy applies to all individuals involved in the event, including:

  • Organizing staff

  • Volunteers

  • Partners and suppliers

  • Judges and guest artists

  • Dance studios and their representatives

  • Participants and accompanying persons

 

3. Definitions

Sexual abuse: Any non-consensual sexual act or behavior, including inappropriate touching, verbal remarks, or gestures of a sexual nature.
Sexual exploitation: Abuse of a position of authority to obtain sexual favors through manipulation, pressure, or exchange of services.
Harassment: Any unwelcome behavior or comment, whether repeated or not, that undermines the dignity or physical/psychological integrity of another person.

 

4. Future Dance Competition Commitments

  • Prevention: Staff training and awareness for all collaborators.

  • Safety: Supervised and secure zones for all participants, including the Future Zone.

  • Reporting: A confidential and accessible process for reporting concerns.

  • Swift Action: Prompt response to any allegations, including temporary suspension of the person involved during the investigation.

  • Cooperation: Full collaboration with law enforcement if required.

 

5. Reporting Mechanism

Anyone who is a victim or witness of inappropriate behavior may:

  • Speak directly to an identified member of the Future team

  • Send a confidential email to: signalement@futuredancecompetition.com

  • Fill out an anonymous complaint form available at the event’s front desk

 

6. Complaint Process

  • Immediate and confidential assessment of the situation

  • Preventive or disciplinary measures, including removal from the event if necessary

  • Follow-up with the complainant and support if needed

 

7. Youth Protection

Future Dance Competition implements specific measures to protect minors, including:

  • Ongoing supervision in dressing and practice areas

  • Clear identification of responsible adults

  • Proactive communication with studio directors in case of concern or incident
